“There are three hundred and sixty bones or joints in every human being. Each day, charity must be given for each one. Every good word is a charity, helping your brother is a charity, giving someone something to drink is a charity and removing something harmful from the road is a charity.”

Imām al-Bukhārī (RH) related it in ‘al-Adab alMufrad’ as did Imāms Barrāz and Ibn Hibbān (RH).

Introduction

The Annual Project Feedback Report provides an overview of the Community Water Well Program conducted in
2021, supported by Muslim Hands Canada on behalf of # Well of Hope. This report highlights the program’s
impact, detailing its implementation, outcomes, and future objectives.

Executive Summary

The Well Of Hopes Community Water Well Program’s key achievements, challenges, and plans in 2021 was to stamp the beginning of a vision that will take time and effort, we are on the mission to impact 100,000 lives. This year of 2021 we were able to surpass our goal of $5000/- within the 30 day Ramadan challenge, We will continue to provide our campaigns only in Ramadan in response to our positive feedback.

Current Situation In Pakistan

  1. 22 million people do not have access to clean water
  2. Nearly 19,500 children under 5 die each year from diarrhea
  3. 79 million people do not have a suitable toilet facility
  4. Some research suggests that Pakistan is on its way to becoming the most water-stressed country in the region by the year 2040
  5. Water scarcity in Pakistan has been accompanied by rising temperatures, droughts in some areas, and a
    growing population

The Importance of Safe Water

It’s easy to forget how much we need safe water. This is the essential of life to which many are denied access. For over a billion people, life’s most pressing challenge is gaining easy access to safe, clean drinking water. Poor health due to unclean water prevents many from escaping the poverty trap. “No intervention has greater overall impact upon national development and public health than the provision of safe drinking water and the proper disposal of human waste.” (World Health Organisation)

Project Overview

The Community Water-Well Program aims to address water scarcity and improve access to clean water in underserved communities across Pakistan. Through generous donations, WOH has been able to fund the construction of water wells in areas with water shortages
